We offer a West Virginis Statewide Animal control and law enforcement training program each year in March.

This program receives in Hours credit for officers statewide and provides never before attainable equine only neglet and cruelty training, as well as handling safety training. We are in our 3rd year of this program.

 

Equine Owner Emergency Assitance Program - Active Now

 

For owners who have encountered a financial situation that is temporary and just need a little help to be able to keep their horses for a short period of time in good health. This would apply to emergency feeding, farrier care or other similar needs. Limited, High Needs basis only

 

The Tri-state Gelding and Health Care Project

FALL 2017 (3rd Annual)

Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue, INC  offers FREE Gelding Surgeries and Health Services in the tri-state area each fall with the help of the ASPCA and the Unwated Horse Coalition. This is our 3rd year of this program.

The answer to so much of the abuse and neglect in this area is to make sure less breeding takes place. This is an amazing first step. This also is a step toward less backyard castrations by knowledgeable people.

For owners who cannot keep their horses and want extra help finding the horses safe placement into new private homes or rescue.

Apply for an OWNER ASSISTED ADOPTION HORSE

"Green to HORSES" PROGRAM

This is a first ever Tri-state wide program that will offer those new to horses a free program to enroll into at no cost to help you LEARN how to be a safe, kind and empowered horse owner. This is suitable for those looking to adopt, buy or who have recently become horses owners.
